U.S.  Army
Zeroing in
on zika
When the U.S. Army sends its Soldiers on a mission, they do everything they can to ensure the return of those Soldiers. When a squad of Soldiers were deployed in area running wild with Zika outbreaks, they did the one thing they could. Create a vaccine for their Soldiers. This is the story of the Soldiers involved in creating that vaccine.
In order to break the mold of the chest-thumping, high energy, Michael Bay-esc photography style the U.S. Army was accustomed to, we captured this medical team of Soldiers and their facilities differently. Simple, clean, and highly stylized photography was utilized since each photograph was featured in certain chapters throughout this story. And each chapter was color coordinated, meaning the photographs had to match those chapter colors to create a cohesive and unified style. Below is a sampling of the photos captured for this campaign.
